A PhyGital Voyage into Web3

Hello everyone,

My name is Christian, and I’m the CEO of League.Tech, a SocialFi app on Metis. I’d like to introduce an idea for feedback aimed at pushing the boundaries of what a social experience looks like in Web3. This would be both a showcase and an educational hub that allows people to explore the potential of Web3.

Embark on an immersive experience designed to showcase the fusion of physical and digital assets in the world of Web3. As the boundaries between the physical and digital realms blur, our event invites participants to witness firsthand the revolutionary power of this convergence. Step into a world where tangible objects seamlessly integrate with digital ecosystems, transforming how we perceive and interact with assets. Through captivating demonstrations and interactive exhibits, attendees will explore the endless possibilities of phygital assets, experiencing the future of ownership, value exchange, and interaction. Join us as we delve into the heart of Web3, where innovation knows no bounds, and discover the transformative potential of bridging the gap between the physical and digital worlds.

User Journey Example:

Step 1: Alice hears about “A PhyGital Voyage into Web3” at Devcon through social media or upon arriving at the event venue. Intrigued by the concept of exploring the convergence of physical and digital assets in Web3, she decides to learn more.

Step 2: Alice arrives at Devcon and visits the immersive space, moving through different stations and exhibits that showcase the fusion of physical and digital assets in Web3. She interacts with interactive displays, and physical installations that demonstrate the possibilities of this emerging technology.

Example Demonstrations

  • Video Gaming: Explore a unique gaming experience where physical objects, such as collectible cards or action figures, are linked to non-fungible tokens (NFTs) representing digital characters or items in an online game. Obtain these NFTs in person and watch as they come to life in your digital gaming universe, providing exclusive content, abilities, or rewards.
  • Art/Comic Books: Immerse yourself in the world of art and storytelling with physical comic books that offer a blend of traditional print content and access to exclusive digital features. Each comic book contains embedded digital codes or QR links that grant readers access to online galleries, interactive content, or bonus material.
  • Social Media: Engage in a dynamic social experience where your physical interactions translate into digital rewards and recognition. Participate in activities, events, or challenges at the event, earning badges or tokens that symbolize your achievements. These badges can be showcased on your online profiles or social media accounts, demonstrating your participation and accomplishments to a wider audience.
  • Music and Audio Experiences: Demonstrate how physical objects, such as vinyl records or musical instruments, can be linked to digital assets or experiences, creating unique interactive music experiences.
  • Sustainability and Environmental Initiatives: Highlight physical products or initiatives that promote sustainability and environmental conservation, paired with digital platforms or tokens that incentivize eco-friendly behaviors or support green projects.
  • Fashion and Wearables: Showcase physical clothing or accessories that are paired with digital assets or NFTs, allowing users to unlock exclusive content or experiences when wearing them.

Step 3: Along the way, Alice engages with exhibitors representing various companies and projects in the Web3 space, she learns about their products, services, and contributions to the phygital ecosystem, asking questions and exchanging ideas. Additionally, she meets other attendees who share her interest in Web3 and phygital experiences, exchanging contact information and forging connections and potential collaborations for future projects or initiatives.

Step 4: Alice stays connected with the event community and continues to engage in discussions, share insights, and explore opportunities for further involvement in the Web3 space.

Can you elaborate a bit more and e.g. outline a user journey?

Hello @ligi it’s nice to meet you, and thank you for the question. I’ve edited my post to include a very rough example of a user journey.
