Art installation for DevConnect in Buenos Aires: Infinity Ethereum

Hello everyone!

We want to propose a special art installation for Devconnect in Buenos Aires. Have you heard of infinity mirrors? If not, head this way → Triangle Infinity Mirror – Maytrix

We want to build a 3 meters high ethereum ininity mirror to welcome people in La Rural. We will set up a structure that will hold the mirror, and all the electronics needed.

What do we need:
Approval from the production team and find a place to put the mirror (should be high traffic)
Costs for materials and work

This project comes from a small community in the city of Tandil, el Nodo Serrano. We hear other ideas and proposals that we can add to this project!

That sounds awesome - can imagine this looking very nicely!
Can you give a bit more information?:

  • can it be outside? (will it be water-proof?)
  • size requirements apart from height
  • a rough estimate on the costs
  • shipping dimensions / weight or an idea on a local use of it afterwards

Of course!

  1. It could be outside, but it would be more demanding on the construction. Inside the Rural would be the best option.
  2. 3 meters high 3 meters wide.
  3. A rough estimate with shipping costs, $7000 USD
  4. Weight is a rough estimate, but no less than 30kg.
  5. I’ve given some thought to the use after the event. One, we could donate it to the Aleph hub in Buenos Aires, or another option could be to bring it to the local node in Tandil.

Let me know any further questions!

I’m curious if the height was 2 meters tall since 3 meters is pretty big… (in that case the width will be somewhat 1.2 meters since the logo is longer in height.) Would it be possible to have the cost in this case?

It was a very rough estimate. If there is interest in executing the project, I can start gathering more specific information and check what we would need. Reducing the size will bring the costs down, since it’s much easier to transport (no big transport required). Would you like me to do that?

We really like the idea - but this year it is a bit problematic because of space and budget - so we decided not to do it at this DEVConnect.

Thanks for the response! More propositions will come for future DevConnect events!

Great idea! love this
