Attestation Community Hub

Please give a short description of the topic/cause for your Community Hub

Attestations are cryptographic proofs that can be used on and off blockchain. It is a key piece of technology that is needed to enable broader use case adoption of Web3. However, the awareness of this technology is limited. The community hub is proposed to raise the awareness of the technology and how it can be further used, adopted and developed.

What will you offer to the Devcon attendees?

Devcon attendees would be able to understand about attestation technology and its potential use cases. They would be able to do it through interactions with the booth members. The attendees would also be able to contribute to the further development of attestation ecosystem by participating in discussions and responding to surveys about attestation. Finally, the interested participants would be provided with guidance on how they can adopt attestation technology if they are interested.

Add a rough outline of your Community Hubs program

The community hub area will have a couple of screens that will show rolling content on attestation technology. There would be subject matter experts who can speak about attestation and answer questions.

Every day, there would be 3-4 facilitated group discussions that we call as ‘Junto’. The Junto would be asking the participants about their key questions around attestations and how the community would be able to adopt or contribute to the attestation ecosystem.

List the people who will organise, oversee and be responsible for the Community Hub
From Smart Token Labs, the following people would be available.

  1. Sunil Tom Jose (Smart Token Labs)
  2. Nick Taras (Smart Token Labs)
  3. Michael Wallace (Smart Token Labs)
  4. Tomek Nowak (Smart Token Labs)

Interested people from the attestation community are welcome to join and help with organising the community hub.

Hi there,

We would like to thank you for putting together this proposal!

The space allocated to Community Hubs is limited which means we can only accept six proposals.

Many of the proposals we received were very high quality and, unfortunately, we had to take hard decisions. There is simply not enough space to accommodate all of them.

With this post, I’d like to inform you that your proposal was not selected for this year’s Community space.

Again, thank you for showing initiative to contribute to the Devcon Bogotá experience and we hope to see you there soon nonetheless.

Have a great day,

Franziska & the Devcon team
