Implement a community-curated track at Devcon where ticket holders use The Interfold’s CRISP voting system to rank and select talks. This creates a transparent, on-chain verified process for allocating a small portion (~10%) of Devcon’s programming to community-voted content.

How does this improve the attendee experience?

  • Gives attendees direct agency in shaping the event programming
  • Helps underrepresented voices and innovative topics get heard
  • Creates a more democratic, community-driven experience that reflects actual attendee interests

  • Proof of Stake Voting: Using ticket ownership as vote weight demonstrates how real-world credentials can be represented on-chain

Have you done this before at another event?

  • No, The Interfold is brand new technology that has not yet been leveraged in this way. However the Interfold, Gnosis Guild, and Aragon teams are experienced builders that have shipped many production systems on Ethereum over the last decade.

How will you make it happen?

  1. Pre-Devcon: Deploy custom Aragon DAO fork with talk proposal submission interface
  2. Verification: Integrate with Devcon ticketing system to mint vote tokens or verify ticket ownership on-chain
  3. Submission Period: Opens as soon as the application is ready (within three weeks of the proposal being accepted) and runs until September 20th — During this time, Devcon ticket holders can submit talk proposals. Proposals are approved/rejected by community mods/curators to ensure they meet any quality/alignment criteria for Devcon.
  4. Voting Period: September 14th to 27th — Devcon ticket holders vote to rank proposed talks.
  5. Results: Use CRISP voting to calculate final rankings and allocate time slots priority accordingly; time slot preference by highest rank.
  6. Schedule: Integration into Devcon’s programming schedule showing vote count and rank of each talk in the community curated track.
