Chiang Mai is a great place not only for coding but also for living. :100:First, Chiang Mai is also a tourist city but its living cost is lower than most cities,which means if global event can be held in Chiang Mai, much more people will be attracted and people who come to here can enjoy great scenery and delicious food. :v:Besides,Chiang Mai has gathered many digital nomads including many developers and Web3 practitioner in the world, if the event can choose Chiang Mai as next location, which definately contributes to the promotion of Web3&Ethereum. :+1:Last but not least, this city is very inclusive and thereā€™s already a Web3 tinder here, and a major torch is needed to light it! :star_struck:

I have been here for more than a month, the network infrastructure is good here, there is a good place to work, I think Chiang Mai is a good place to hold Devcon.

I would love to see Devcon happen in Chiang Mai. Thai Devs are very talented, it would be great to see more opportunities for them in the city. And the city is used to hosting large numbers of tourists every year so it has a great variety of accommodations and food places, and basically everything you need to host an event like this.

You have surely seen the exciting news that Devcon 7 will be hosted in Bangkok in November! :thailand::clap: The Devcon team wants to say thank you to everyone here who helped evaluate Thailand as the host country for Devcon 7, and especially the communities that drafted the initial proposals!

Although it will not be in Chiang Mai, we will be very close! We also hope that Devcon will resonate with the whole Southeast Asia region, and weā€™re calling it Devcon SEA. :earth_asia::lotus:
