The huashan creative park is the perfect venue for Devcon. Consisting of the modernized old Japanese colonial period train marshalling yard and warehouses, centrally located in Taipei and naturally busy with foot traffic, with a large outdoor park perfect for picnics. Next door is the world famous Guanghua digital plaza, Syntrend, and many independent technology businesses as well as Maicoins HQ - Taiwans largest crypto exchange. There are thousands of restaurants in the area catering for all tastes
It is a 10 minute taxi or metro ride to anywhere in Taipei, equidistant from the bustling Ximen old quarter nightmarkets and the modern downtown and nightlife in Xinyi.

Taiwan is a very welcoming place to foreigners with great public transportation including trains, metros and bikes. Locals are friendly and can generally communicate in English. Food options are diverse and the night markets are must-visits.
While there may be concerns with geo-political stabilities with the obvious threats from the Chinese government, I think this highlights even more the impact blockchains and the Ethereum community can have in Taiwan. We have seen how cryptocurrency helped Ukrainians who had to flee the war and similar things could happen to the Taiwanese citizens in the future. Being decentralized and censorship-resistant will make the country more resistant to propaganda attacks from China as well.

I’ve traveled around the world and still Taiwan is super safe, clean, full of friendly and open-minded ppl who takes pride in our delicious local food.
The web3 community is very tight and we help each other out with kindness and pure intention to grow. 100% support Taipei for the next Devcon!
