Real world assets coming to blockchain is rather exciting and something that everyone knows makes sense but at the moment there is very little real world traction.
I would love to see this change and as a small step I thought it might be cool to use Devcon, a place known for growth, learning, experimentation & engagament with the community, to launch a RWA initiative.
The idea is simple. Get polaroid photos of the speakers on the main stage and get them to sign the polaroids. This becomes a 1 of 1. Then turn the polaroid into an NFT and have a lucky dip drawn where people who attended DevCon via their PoaP or proof of ticket get to win one of these NFTs and associated RWA. Also, run an auction where the NFT/RWA polaroids from the conference get auctioned off for charity.
If nothing else it captures a RWA moment of history in this quickly developing space. It experiements with another bow of the ever growing uses of the blockchain and it helps the wider world understand the power of what could happen next.
I don’t know if this is something worth looking into. Perhaps if nothing else it creates a little bit of buzz around RWAs on the blockchain, as there are a lot of people who would love a RWA momento of their crypto hero. It certainly costs very little as an initiative but for a bit of time, some ink and polaroid sheets.
This intiative is primarily about awareness of RWAs but if could also do some good by giving back to the community and charity. I know there are a lot of people already doing community & charity things but another drop in the bucket always helps.
What do you reckon? or .
