Please give a short description of the topic/cause for your Community Hub
This Community Hub aims to foster collaboration and growth within the Ethereum ecosystem Devs by creating a centralized hub for developers to explore super-app concepts and participate in global hackathons. By providing resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities, we seek to inspire innovative solutions that expand the capabilities and reach of Ethereum-based applications.
What will you offer to the Devcon attendees?
- Hackathon Coordination: Curate and promote a calendar of global hackathons focused on Ethereum super-app development.
- Mentorship and Workshops: Provide expert guidance and hands-on workshops on super-app architecture, user experience, and integration with Ethereum protocols.
- Networking Opportunities: Facilitate connections between developers, entrepreneurs, and investors interested in super-app projects.
- Showcase Platform: Highlight successful Ethereum super-apps and their developers to inspire others.
Add a rough outline of your Community Hubs Agenda
- Regular gatherings for informal discussions, idea sharing, and collaboration.
- Intensive workshops preparing developers for upcoming hackathons.
- Opportunities for teams to present their super-app concepts to potential investors in our Network and collaborators.
- Showcase successful hackathon projects to the wider Ethereum community of 3600+ Devs.
List the people who will organize, oversee, and be responsible for the Community Hub
The Team from Hack The League(@HackTheLeague) will be coming, we already are the road to the Devcon grant round approved organizers and we will be attending as well to manage the hub.
List the equipment or production needs (see what’s possible in the RFP)
- Dedicated Space: A designated area within the Devcon venue for the Community Hub.
- Seating and Tables: Seating and tables for discussions.
- Monitor / Screen [IF POSSIBLE]: For presentations and videos of good Projects and Devcon + EF Slides.

Can vouch for HackTheLeague & I strongly support HacktheLeague’s proposal for a Community Hub at Devcon. Their track record of organizing amazing hackathons and fostering a vibrant developer community is beyond impressive. Their focus on healthy community building development and comprehensive support for developers make this a valuable addition to the event. I’m confident they’ll create a thriving space for collaboration, learning, and networking.
Hackathon experience? Mentors? Support? Great network? They have it all!
Would love to see them at Devcon!

Hi there,
First of all, we would like to thank you for putting together this proposal!
The space allocated to Community Hubs is limited which means we can only accept a limited number of proposals.
Many of the proposals we received were very high quality and, unfortunately, we had to take hard decisions. There is simply not enough space to accommodate all of them.
With this post, I’d like to inform you that your proposal was not selected for this year’s Community space.
Again, thank you for showing initiative to contribute to the Devcon SEA experience and we hope to see you there soon nonetheless.
Best Regards,
Shyam & The Devcon team
Hi @Shyam_Sridhar I totally understand that decision has based on multiple metrics and I would love to get a list of them, as I got to know some really amazing hubs got rejected like ETH Community, DevRel, Hackathon, L2 Unification but you have accepted 2 women in web3 hubs, so I would definitely love to know selection criteria here.
Hi Jatin,
Thank you again for your thoughtful proposal and your interest in hosting a Community Hub at Devcon. With the high volume of applications this year, we had to make some tough decisions. We prioritized proposals that:
- Complement Devcon’s planned programs in ways traditional talks and workshops can’t
- Highlight the web3 ecosystem in Southeast Asia, aligning with the intent behind hosting Devcon in this region.
Regarding your concern, it seems there’s been a misunderstanding. Only one “Women in Web3” Hub was accepted, and that was for this year. You may be referring to a similar proposal from the last Devcon two years ago.
Additionally, the “Ethereum Super-dApps and Global Hackathons” proposal is led by a single team, whereas Community Hubs are meant to engage a broader range of groups, initiatives, or communities.
I hope this clarifies things, and thanks again for your dedication to contributing to Devcon!
