SEA Devcon community hubs: BUIDL for Enterprises

1. Summary of Proposal

While the Ethereum ecosystem has seen significant growth, many builders face challenges in developing Web3 products that can generate revenue and have profit, especially sustainable income from enterprises. The complexities of market research, product development, security, and business partnerships often hinder their progress. This proposal outlines the creation of Devcon Community Hubs, dedicated spaces at Devcon Bangkok for Ethereum builders to collaborate, learn, and network on building sustainable Web3 products for enterprises. The hubs will offer training from builders who have real experience with products that meet enterprise’s requirements. Moreover, Proof of Collab program can support mentorship, and networking opportunities to empower builders and foster innovation within the Ethereum Communities.

2. How would this community hub enhance attendee experience?

With this topic, the deep sharing between groups of 10-20 would be great, so Devcon Community Hubs will offer a more immersive and interactive experience compared to the main conference presentation. It provides a dedicated space for participants to connect, discuss challenges, and find solutions together. This collaborative approach can lead to more innovative and impactful outcomes and the opportunity for direct mentorship will enable builders to apply their learnings immediately and gain valuable insights from industry experts. Furthermore, with “Proof of Moment” to preserve their Memories, each photo tells a story, capturing the essence of builder’s Devcon journey.

Hi!

Thanks for putting together this proposal

General Update on the Process

  • The RFP is now open until September 7th 2024
  • Shortly after this (mid-September), we will share which Community Hub proposals got accepted and will work with those accepted teams to fine-tune the proposals/hubs and how we can best meet their production requirements.

We’ll keep you updated, should we have any more questions!

Thanks!

Hi there,

First of all, we would like to thank you for putting together this proposal!

The space allocated to Community Hubs is limited which means we can only accept a limited number of proposals.

Many of the proposals we received were very high quality and, unfortunately, we had to take hard decisions. There is simply not enough space to accommodate all of them.

With this post, I’d like to inform you that your proposal was not selected for this year’s Community space.

Again, thank you for showing initiative to contribute to the Devcon SEA experience and we hope to see you there soon nonetheless.

Best Regards,

Shyam & The Devcon team
