LatAm Community Hub
The Ethereum hub for Latin American collaboration at Devconnect 2025
Background & Motivation
Devconnect is for LatAm builders, a great chance to show who we are.
Just like the chiva lit up Bogotá in 2022, we want to create a Latin-American space that’s vibrant and inclusive space for collaboration and cultural exchange.
This initiative will be led by multiple communities across LatAm. Every Ethereum-aligned community is to collaborate and help create this experience.
Goals
Create a shared space for connection and alignment across Latin America (before, during, and after Devconnect).
We aim to:
- Strengthen collaboration between regions
- Celebrate local identity within Ethereum
- Highlight Latin American builders and projects
- Coordinate collective visibility and impact at Devconnect

SEED, based in Argentina, is one of the core-teams contributing to this effort, offering local insight and support to organizers in the host country.
Community Endorsement Requirement
To ensure that the Builder Presentation & Community Showcase highlights projects that are active, trusted, and rooted in the ecosystem, we’ve introduced a simple but powerful filter:
You must be endorsed by 2 other LatAm communities to participate.
This means:
- Your community should be referred or backed by at least two other participating teams.
- It’s a lightweight requirement to promote regional trust and collaboration.
- Endorsements can be as simple as a mention in the form, or a short message from your peers.
We believe this approach helps surface initiatives that are not only high-signal but also deeply connected to the broader LatAm Ethereum network.
How
1) Monthly Meetings - prior to the conference
Teams use monthly calls to coordinate and improve our Devconnect headquarters proposal, delegate responsibilities, and discuss ongoing regional initiatives happening across different countries leading up to Devconnect.
Structure:
- Introductions: team, travel plans, local support
- Event planning: joint side events, hacker houses
- Matchmaking: “Looking for…” / “Offering…” open round
- Asks & updates
Outcomes:
Initiative | Description |
---|---|
Shared promo campaigns | Amplify Devconnect visibility across LatAm |
Speaker exchanges | Communities sending speakers to each other’s events |
2) IRL Activities at LatAm Community Hub (LCH) - during conference
The LCH will serve as a dynamic hub for face-to-face engagement, collaboration, and showcasing of LatAm initiatives. What follows is a set of proposed activities (things we imagine could happen, but by no means a final structure). This is a global and evolving proposal, and we invite communities to help shape it together (We suggest the 19th as a potential date, since the 17th is the opening and the 18th is the Argentina-specific conference).
a. Core LCH Programming (Mornings)
- Community Roundtable
- Community Showcase
- Builder Presentation
b. Evening/Night: Community Meetup & LatAm Party
A special meetup bringing together builders and communities from across Latin America. Expect music, drinks, local food, and great energy to celebrate our shared journey and build new connections.
c. Cultural Installations
Football Zone
- Football activities
- National jerseys: each community is invited to bring shirts from their country or group, which will be showcased
- Possible Activities: TBD
- Coordination: TBD
The structure of this space is still being defined and is open to proposals or improvements from participating teams. If you’d like to contribute ideas or help run this section, reach out!
LatAm Food Exchange
- Traditional food stalls: Mate, alfajores, etc. for LCH participants
- International snack exchange table
Map Experience
- Interactive installation
- Pin your hometown + community
- Photos + quick profiles optional
We are developing more artistic collaboration opportunities to provide a complete cultural experience. The main activity will be defined closer to the event date.
Daily Program Overview (Draft)
This is a draft schedule, we’re sharing it as a starting point. It´s fully open to feedback, changes, and coordination with other teams.

Organizing Team
The LatAm Community Hub is being co-created by many communities across the region. We invite other teams to join in this process and help shape both the onsite and remote efforts.
Name | Community |

Suka | SEED Latam |
Pablo Cabona | SEED Latam |
Photographer | Devconnect/SEED |
Collaborators | Open |
A rotating team of 4–5 members (including volunteers from different communities) will be present onsite during the football activities to coordinate programming and logistics. The list will be updated as new collaborators join the cause.
Equipment & Production Needs
We aim to create a welcoming, dynamic and informative experience. We’ll need the following resources to make it happen:
Signage (Hub branding, map)
Country-specific shirts (from every community attending)
TV-sized screen (HDMI-enabled)
Whiteboard (for daily agenda, live updates)
20–30 chairs for roundtable and casual seating
Power outlets (accessible across space)
3 tables (for materials, community guides, installation setup)
Argentina flags and items to brand the space
A football
Optional if available:
Vertical stand for posters
Portable speaker (not for amplification, but soft ambiance/music during cultural hours)
Community Hub Alignment Statement
This proposal aligns 100% with the Community Hub requirements set by the Devcon team:
Marketing-Free: We do not promote tokens, products or commercial services. This is a community-led initiative.
Tech & Community Focused: The program centers on cultural and technical collaboration between Ethereum-aligned communities.
Open & Inclusive: The Hub will be fully open to all Devcon attendees during conference hours.
Centered on One Topic: Our theme is “LatAm Coordination & Visibility in Ethereum”.
Even more!
At SEED, we´re already developing a Notion page meant to be an Argentina Guide-Book. This will have lot of resources around the country, for travelers and builders coming.
Resources we’re compiling:
Argentina Essentials: cultural tips, neighborhoods, food
Logistics: where to stay, trusted venues, providers
Infra & Ops: ramps, transport, merchandise, translation
Guides for organizers:
- Hosting Hacker Houses
- Creating events
- How to apply to scholarships effectively (strategies to improve your chances, common mistakes, and examples from past recipients)
Call to Action
