Announcing the Devconnect ARG Community Hubs! ✨

Introduction

We are pleased to announce the 14 selected Community Hubs for Devconnect ARG, chosen from a total of 23 proposals submitted to RFP-12.

These hubs will host diverse programming throughout the week, from deep technical discussions and governance debates to artistic showcases and regional initiatives. Each one adds a unique dimension to the World’s Fair spirit of Devconnect ARG, creating spaces to learn, build, and connect.

What are Community Hubs?

Community Hubs are dedicated spaces where selected communities bring a specific Ethereum topic to life. They are curated and, to some extent, independently organized by community groups with expertise in the chosen topic.

By designing and hosting their own programming, Community Hubs help shape the overall experience of Devconnect, making it more decentralized, inclusive, and grounded in Ethereum’s community spirit.

Think of them as informational hubs that complement the main Devconnect program by offering spaces where attendees can stop by, ask questions, connect across domains with other communities, and explore new areas of Ethereum!

Most importantly, these spaces must not promote any single project or initiative through branding or marketing; they must remain strictly educational.

Preview of Accepted Community Hubs

The following hubs stood out for their unique focus, strong programming, diverse community representation, and commitment to hosting activities across all six days of the World’s Fair. Together, they will bring technical depth, creative energy, and regional perspective to the Devconnect experience.

Privacy Hub

A welcoming and practical gathering space for people building, exploring, and learning about privacy on Ethereum. The Privacy Hub offers an open format to demo tools, exchange ideas, explore challenges, and connect across teams. It brings together developers, designers, researchers, and users working to make privacy usable, trustworthy, and normal.

LATAM Hub

Bringing together LATAM builders to share practical Web3 strategies. The hub will host collaborative spaces, workshops, and sessions on marketing, UX, and education to drive real adoption, while fostering regional collaboration, celebrating identity, showcasing local regional projects, and amplifying collective impact at Devconnect.

Open Source Community Hub

Open source is the foundation of the Ethereum ecosystem from clients and wallets to developer tools and L2 infrastructure. Yet, maintainers and contributors often remain underrepresented in mainstream conversations. This Community Hub aims to spotlight their work, create space for deeper technical exchange, and foster long term contributor relationships.

Regen Hub

A welcoming and inclusive space within Devconnect that fosters connection, collaboration, and education around regenerative approaches in web3. It centers local voices and initiatives, encourages deep dialogue, and builds bridges between global Ethereum builders and Latin American change-makers.

Onchain Art Hub

A home for musicians, painters, designers, digital artists, sculptors, and creatives of all kinds. We represent a collective of Argentina-based art communities dedicated to supporting all artists and art collectives attending Devconnect.

Account Abstraction Hub

The Account Abstraction Community Hub would be a gathering point for various sub-communities in the Account Abstraction ecosystem. This includes communities focused around development and maintenance of Account Abstraction SDKs and libraries, wallets, block indexers, bundlers, paymasters, relevant protocol standards (e.g. ERC-4337, EIP-7701, EIP-7702, RIP-7560 and more), dapps leveraging Account Abstraction, ZK technology utilizing AA, and more.

Enterprise Hub

A strategic initiative to bridge the gap between the innovative Web3 ecosystem and traditional and Web2 institutions. It will function as both an educational catalyst and a practical matchmaking platform, addressing the persistent challenge of Web2 companies, local businesses, and traditional institutions struggling to understand and implement Web3 solutions. Web3 builders and experts, on the other hand, will be supported in moving from idea → prototype → funding → adoption by putting them in front of institutional partners and maintaining open collaboration channels after the event.

Fintech & Onchain Banking Hub

Onchain banking is Ethereum’s most tangible path to impact on people’s lives: powering savings, payments, and credit for everyone, especially those underserved by traditional finance. Our Community Hub will unite builders, payment and infrastructure fintechs, and merchants to co-create stablecoin-based banking tools. Starting in Buenos Aires, this collaboration aims to scale across LATAM and beyond.

Governance Geeks Hub

The Community Hub will provide deeper understanding of current onchain governance structures, review lessons from the past, examine new governance trends, and explore the legal, financial, operational considerations in an evolving regulatory environment. The space is designed to be a “safe space” for open discussion, where participants can share both excitement and critiques regarding developments and shortcomings in decentralized governance we experience today.

Node Operators Hub

An approachable, consistent, and hands-on education around running Ethereum nodes and validators. Each day will focus on a core theme (such as minimal hardware setups, secure solo staking, client diversity, or low investment cost staking methods) and will showcase that theme throughout the day. This allows Devconnect attendees to drop in anytime and engage without needing to schedule around talks or workshops. It’s a calm, welcoming space for curious newcomers, seasoned operators, and everyone in between.

Pop-Up Cities & Permanent Hubs

A field node inside Devconnect - a temporary space for Ethereum builders to engage with the practical realities of pop-up and permanent villages, through case studies, and direct exchange with practitioners. It focuses on the bridge between pop-up communities - short-lived, high-intensity testbeds, and permanent village models as long-term governance sandboxes.

Women in Web3 Hub

Dedicated environment where women and allies can connect, learn, and thrive. Despite the rapid growth of Web3, women remain underrepresented in the blockchain industry. The Women in Web3 Hub initiative addresses this gap by creating an inclusive space that encourages participation and leadership among women.

RWA Hub

A dedicated space to explore how real-world assets can be responsibly tokenized on Ethereum. By convening builders, tokenization pioneers, banks, notaries, regulators, business chambers, and entrepreneurs, this hub will foster dialogue, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Its goal is to ensure tokenization evolves in a transparent, compliant, and inclusive way that connects Ethereum with the real economy.

World of DeSci

Focused on decentralized science, this hub creates a space to share new models of collaboration, funding, and research. It brings together scientists, builders, and communities experimenting with open knowledge, reproducibility, and Ethereum-based coordination to transform how science is practiced and shared.

Congratulations to all selected proposals, we can’t wait to see you in action during Devconnect ARG! :clap:t3:

As next steps, we’ll reach out to each hub organizer to coordinate a preparation sync, align on collaborations, programming deadlines, and production needs.

For proposals that were not selected, it’s not over! Let’s explore together how to collab and integrate with the confirmed hubs or other activities within the World’s Fair. We’ll also reach out to each organizer individually. Your contributions are deeply valued and appreciated :sparkles:

Thank you all for the support and commitment to making the first Ethereum World’s Fair a nurturing, community-driven experience for everyone. Now, back to BUIDLing! :hammer_and_pick:
