Proposal: Regen Hub at Devconnect 2025 – Buenos Aires
This proposal outlines a comprehensive plan for the Regen Hub at Devconnect 2025 in Buenos Aires, building on the success and learnings from our previous hubs at Devcon Bogotá (2022) and Devcon Bangkok (2024).
We’re excited to bring this community-driven, locally rooted and globally connected experience to Latin America once again - this time to Argentina, a region rich with social innovation, grassroots action, and web3 experimentation.
Summary of Proposal
The Regen Hub is a welcoming and inclusive space within Devcon that fosters connection, collaboration, and education around regenerative approaches in web3. It centers local voices and initiatives, encourages deep dialogue, and builds bridges between global Ethereum builders and Latin American changemakers.
At Devconnect Buenos Aires, the Regen Hub will reflect the vibrant Argentinian spirit of resilience and innovation, while holding space for global collaboration and reflection on the role of Ethereum in regenerating social, ecological, and economic systems.

How would this community hub enhance attendee experience?
The Regen Hub provides a unique space for slowing down, connecting deeply, and exploring meaningfully. It complements the technical focus of Devconnect with human-centered programming that emphasizes place-based solutions, systemic thinking, and the power of community.
How would this complement the main programme at Devconnect?
Devconnect’s decentralized format makes it ideal for a persistent community hub that attendees can return to throughout the week. The Regen Hub acts as an anchor point for ongoing conversations, spontaneous connections, and co-creation between diverse actors—from grassroots organizers to protocol developers.
Why is a hub the best format for this?
Regenerative work thrives in spaces of intimacy, trust, and continuity. Rather than one-off talks or panels, the hub provides an immersive experience where attendees can engage in roundtables, facilitated sessions, and emergent discussions. Our experience in Bogotá and Bangkok has shown that this format leads to lasting relationships and concrete collaborations.
Implementation
Production Requirements:
- Standard support from Devconnect (chairs, outlets, whiteboards, screen/projector)
- Desired additions:
- Plants and natural decor for an inviting, calm environment
- Display table for local regenerative projects and tools
- Comfortable seating (beanbags, rugs) for informal conversations
- Wall space for a Community Board and Interactive Regen Map

The Regen Hub programming focuses on practical, real-world use cases of Ethereum that address social, ecological, and economic challenges. Each session highlights how builders are applying Ethereum tech beyond DeFi or speculation.
