This proposal outlines a comprehensive plan for the Regen Hub at Devcon 7, building on the success and learnings of our previous participation while introducing new elements to enhance the experience for all attendees. We are very excited about the opportunity and look forward to the possibility of bringing our vision to life in Bangkok.
Summary of Proposal
The Regen Hub is a dedicated space focused on promoting local projects and initiatives, fostering discussions around regenerative work in web3, and connecting newcomers with educational resources and communities in the web3 space.
The hub will be a vibrant, community-driven space that aims to represent the Thai and Southeast Asian web3 community and offer a facilitated program to build bridges with global Ethereum builders.
Motivation and Rationale
How would this community hub enhance attendee experience?
The Regen Hub will enhance the attendee experience by offering a welcoming and inclusive space where participants can engage in deeper, meaningful conversations about how the Ethereum ecosystem can drive impact in local communities and foster regenerative action around the world.
How would this compliment the main programme that is happening at Devcon?
This hub will complement the main conference program by providing an informal setting where attendees can discover local and regional projects, and delve deeper into topics of regeneration, decentralization, and local empowerment—key themes that resonate with the global web3 community.
It will showcase local web3 projects and provide points of connection to help build bridges between the global web3 community and local builders.
Why is this topic significant, and why is a community hub the best format to address it instead of a talk or workshop at the main conference?
This topic requires a space for deeper connection to take place and people to properly meet one another - ideally to foster future collaborations. A hub format offers the right environment for this. The success of our previous Regen Hub at Devcon Bogota is a testament to the impact such a space can have, as it became a focal point for local and global regen builders to connect.
